James H. Pogue, MD, Receives Professional Networking Community's Highest Honor
James H. Pogue has developed preventative medicine for individuals at high risk for cancer
NASHVILLE, TN, April 01, 2010 /Cancer PR News/ --Dr. James H. Pogue, Chief Executive Officer and Physician of Belmont Medical Group, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in Healthcare. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named executives of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.
There may not yet be a known cure for cancer, but Dr. James H. Pogue has dedicated his career to ensuring that people can actively prevent the disease. Named "Top Family Doctor" and "Top Physician" by the Consumers' Research Council of America, Dr. Pogue has developed preventative medicine for individuals at high risk for cancer. Additionally, he has spent the last 14 years practicing family medicine, offering pain management and consulting services, performing laser surgery and overseeing dermatological and geriatric therapy. He credits his achievements to the support of his parents, without whom he admits that he would not be able to enjoy the success that he does today.
Dr. Pogue holds an MD from the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. He is also a proud affiliate of the Novus Institute, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and The American Legion.
