Paradise Medspa and Wellness in Phoenix provides free oncology ficials this holiday season to Valley residents suffering from cancer

Phoenix based Paradise Medspa and Wellness will be offering cancer patients a free skin consultation and facial during the weeks of December 7 and December 14

PHOENIX, AZ, November 26, 2009 /Cancer PR News/ -- Paradise Medspa & Wellness, one of the leading medspas in the Valley, would like to bring holiday cheer to those who are suffering during this holiday season. During the weeks of Dec 7 and Dec 14, Paradise Medspa will be offering those who suffer from cancer a free skin consultation and oncology facials, a facial customized directly for cancer patients with severe skin reactions.

Most cancer therapies have a negative effect on the skin and many patients may not know how to handle these skin changes or where to turn for help. In 2009, more than one million people were diagnosed with skin cancer. With common treatments such as radiation and chemotherapy the skin can become highly irritated and itchy among several other symptoms. The National Cancer Institute suggests using mild, gentle products and caring for your skin differently than you may have before.

Recognizing a need for this type of procedure in the valley, lead aesthetician, Meredith Morgan, earned her certification in oncology aesthetics from Touch for Cancer. She has received extensive training in dealing with the complex nature of skin conditions as they pertain to those battling the disease. Paradise Medspa & Wellness is now one of the only medspas in the Valley to provide this facial.

"When I first researched this type of facial, I saw many medspas did not even provide the option," remarks Morgan. "There is a real void in the valley when it comes to providing facial treatments and I wanted to help. Not only that, but cancer patients already endure extremely draining procedures when it comes to battling their disease. What is great about this new training is that it allows me to give facials to cancer patients of any stage of their treatment as long as they have received approval from their oncologist."

Any patient that has approval from their oncologist may book an appointment with Paradise Medspa & Wellness for a free oncology facial during the weeks of Dec 7 and Dec 14. Appointments will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. You can call 602.266.8144 to book an appointment. Paradise Medspa is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 6pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and is located at 2060 W. Whispering Wind Dr, Suite 170 Phoenix, Arizona 85085.
